Can we trust Prepaid Phone Cards/Calling Cards

Filed under: Calling Cards, VoIP News — jprangiee @ 3:48 pm

The International Calling Card industry has long been plagued by problems of suspect marketing tactics, hidden charges, connection fees, disconnection fee, and bla bla… and usually its always the consumer that tends to lose out at they find it’s hard to first trust calling cards, and secondly they find it hard to locate a card that is clean and free from suspect marketing strategies, and on the top of all dialing pin number is pain!

A recent Business Week article, mentions IDT’s plight to sue some of the main companies that are using these under-hand tricks to attract clients – and then deliver very poor service/goods!

  1. This is not true. Now a days you can find plenty of pinless calling card. I agree its hard to find the right product. Here are few who have good reputation specially for calling India. Though the service quality keep changin from time to time.
Raliance 7.9 cents/minute http://www.reliance.com Used it for one year, but latest the call quality is really bad.
WQN 10.5 cents/minute http://www.wqn.com This is good, but hey why should I pay more.
    Bingotelecom 6.9 cents/minute http://www.bingotelecom.com (I am using this one now a days)
Startec 7.9 cents a minute http://www.startec.com (not very good quality)
Webstel 5 cents a minute http://www.webstel.com Watch out, 99cent Maintenance Fee and 3 minute rounding.
The best thing is that these are pinless calling cards and you can store you mobile number and home number. So when you dial the access number it wont ask you any pin. I am sure there are lot more you can find.
